When Specialized first produced this carbon-tubed/alloy lugged road frame, I thought they were the coolest thing I ever saw. A couple of years ago, this one came along (thanks, Dave!), and I jumped on it. I removed all of the Shimano 105 equipment, and stripped the 8-speed Campy drivetrain and Rolf wheels from the Ciocc (which I then sold to a guy who now has it on the Fixed Gear Gallery).
I don’t ride it a lot, but I love it. I pimped it out with carbon bottle cages and a carbon frame pump (thanks, again, Dave!). It’s nice to finally get into the 20th Century, even if I am 6 years late.
The SLR saddle is a lot more comfy than it has any right to be.
